Vicente Baths, Joaquín

Joaquín Vicente Associate Professor University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM) in the Instituto de Investigación en Recursos Cinegéticos (IREC – CSIC, UCLM, JCCM), Where he developed his line of work in collaboration with other researchers from the center and multiple international collaborations.

His work, developed as a member of the Research Group in Health and Biotechnology (SaBio), It focuses on the field of health and population monitoring of wildlife, epidemiology and disease controlEspecially focused on the human-cattle-wildlife.

Joaquin is the author of 160 scientific papers in journals of international impact. He has participated in 26 research projectsBoth national and international, being the principal investigator 3 national projects and 2 projects of the Regional Plan.

Today 2 projects coordinated European, ENETWILD and Mammalnet, Both founded by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), which include 15 research groups from different countries. These initiatives focus on the coordinated monitoring of wildlife at European level for decision-making.
