The sessions, which are included in Science Week 2021 and are organized from the One Health perspective, will review the contribution of the UCLM to learn about COVID-19 and fight against the pandemic
The SARS-CoV-2 virus and the COVID-19 disease have marked the last two years, and we will carry their consequences for some time. After a crisis like the one we have experienced, It is convenient to stop and think about what has happened, what has been the role of the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM), and how to better prepare for future emergencies.
Faced with the emergence of the new coronavirus, the UCLM immediately provided materials and facilities and offered its capabilities. Your research fabric has done what it does best: develop knowledge to understand our environment and improve people's quality of life. This has been possible thanks to multidisciplinary collaboration and with researchers and administrations inside and outside of Spain.
Till the date, more than 120 articles published in international scientific journals on COVID-19 have authors from the UCLM. In addition, an intense informative work has been developed, with numerous events, press collaborations and interventions on radio and television. Therefore, the time has come to communicate to society what has been done from the UCLM during the pandemic, but, above all, to learn from the experience to be better prepared in the future.
