PhD in Agricultural and Environmental Sciences

The PhD Program in Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (verified according to RD 99/2011) is made up of several centers of the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM), which combine personal and material efforts to offer a program of the highest quality and guarantee. These centers include theHigher Technical School of Agricultural and Forestry Engineers (ETSIAM), the Institute for Game and Wildlife Research (IREC - CSIC, UCLM, JCCM), the Faculty of Environmental Sciences and Biochemistry, and the School of Agricultural Engineers.

All the participating centers and the originally integrated PhD programs have in common their approach to agrarian and environmental issues, with applied biology as a basic element in common and the interaction of their different fields of knowledge with the environment. In each of the cases and lines of research of the program, contents specific to agricultural production, forestry production, animal production and health, ecology, the study of global change, aerobiology, biodiversity, biotechnology and genetics or engineering, are integrated and complement each other.

Finally, as a result of the participation of the different centers, their professors and the lines of research in which they are articulated, a extensive PhD program, integrating complementary, multidisciplinary and benchmark knowledge in the environment and agricultural production systems, focused on the so-called "green engineering" and on the in-depth knowledge of biological systems and their interactions, is offered.
