Romero Haro, Ana Angela

Ana is Licensed in biology from the University of Córdoba, and was a FPI fellow at the Institute for Research in Hunting Resources (IREC), where she completed her doctorate (2015). Since then, has worked in research in various European centers, including the University of Zurich (Switzerland), the Max Planck Institute for Ornithology (Germany), the University of Strasbourg (France) and the University of Groningen (Netherlands). From 2019 to 2022 it was postdoctoral researcher “Marie-Curie” at the University of Exeter (UK). Currently, she enjoys a postdoctoral contract "María Zambrano" at IREC, as a member of the Research Group in Game Resources and Wildlife Management .

His field of research is evolutionary ecology, focusing on the physiological mechanisms that regulate the resolution of life strategy commitments (life-history trade-offs). In particular, his studies focus on the long-term effects of stress experienced during development, as well as the physiological constraints and costs that regulate reproductive investment. Birds are his main study model, especially the diamond mandarin (Taeniopygia guttata), the red partridge (Alectoris rufa) and quail (Coturnix japonica).
