'Onlookers', kestrels searching for information.

The lesser Kestrel form breeding colonies located in old human constructions. There are significant differences in quality between colonies due to unequal rates of predation, availability and stability of food, competition with other species, etc. These differences make the breeding success of the Kestrels. The Kestrels which do not breed in a spawning season spend their time inspecting the nests of other primillas, in several colonies, in order to obtain information about the quality of the breeding grounds. With this information, they will try to occupy a good nest in the next season
